More Mist and Low Cloud

13.1C misty and sunny and feeling quite warm. Moderate SE/E/ESE breeze.

Fergus and I went for our walk after lunch. We went round to the harbour, went along by the park and Kilkerran road to Glenramskill House and on out to the Doirlinn. The tide was high and most of the Doirlinn was submerged. The mist or low cloud was below the level of the hills surrounding town and at times obscured Davaar island completely. Over the loch the sky was more or less clear and blue. Out of town the fragrance of Broom was noticeable in the air, and on a shady part of the road the scent of wild Garlic was very evident.

We came back the same way then along the street side of the park. Out of curiosity I brought Fergus along Hall Street to see if the Picture House was open or closed. It was closed and had a sign telling of a private function. Said private function is tonight's Official Opening. If anyone can tell me why official openings happen months after the actual opening I'd be interested to know. I have an invite. Actually a rather fancy gold leaf highlighted invite. Drinks, nibbles, probably speeches, and an advance preview screening of the film "Edie" await ...
