Manor driveway

Nearly catching up with the present date!

Friday mornings I drive over the hill to the next village and always park the car in the road opposite this driveway. It is the widest part of the lane and there are still a few hundred yards to walk to the local butchers on the main road. The manor house is situated with a sweeping drive and wonderful grounds in front with parkland and a lake but the building itself backs through a gate straight on to a village side street. The contrast is quite strange. The property was bought recently by a retired businessman and has been refurbished, a good venue for charity functions.
