Greengage Blossom

There was some very heavy rain during the night; my husband woke me up to tell me about it. It had stopped long before morning and we have had another very hot day.
 
I spent the morning watching the London Marathon, the elite men and women and the wheelchair races, then I cooked lunch.
 
An afternoon of doing not very much, rather too hot to knit or to put together the item I am making.

Today’s picture is of some Greengage blossom, which is at the bottom of the orchard on the Western side of the property.
