MM - Patriotism

After thinking about this week's MM theme I thought the war memorial in our local park would be an ideal representation of patriotism. There are no names inscribed on the memorial as it was felt unnecessary to include inscriptions of the dead, as the majority were recorded on rolls of honour in their local churches. Instead, the sole inscription was simply "In Memoriam 1914-1918";  in1948 the dates "1939-1945" were added.
