Here there and everywhere

Happy St Jordi!

Another day, another task and today's was scrubbing the roof terrace: it's annual deep scrub and a down-on-your-hands-and-knees job. Good that that's done and a big tick on my list!

More importantly, today is St Jordi, only marked in Catalunya and it celebrates the death days of Cervantes, Shakespeare, and is the patron saint of Catalunya. In the last few years Bb has been travelling to Cairo and has carried my rose bought in Barcelona all the way there, via Rome! Tradition is that men give women a red rose and women give men a book. This year it was an easier delivery as we were both in Barcelona and exchanged gifts up the road in La Illa. Here's Bb receiving his book. My 3 red roses are already on my desk in one of our Hungarian vases.
