Little Miss Hornet

Back to Watford today for me and Miss E. Her fifth game of the season and her last chance to see a win.
Fingers were crossed; lucky pants were worn; we got the train (to ring the changes and appeal to the football fates); breath was held as we - and they - hit the woodwork......
But no, it was 0-0 and my little Hornet has yet to see her team win. Sigh!!
But it was a great game and we had a fabulous day.
Mr K dropped us off at the station in Milton Keynes and I managed to get on the right train to Watford. It was so weird going to the football in such glorious hot, sunny weather!! Scarves were in the bag!
Miss E looked gorgeous in her summer dress and pearls!
As we were early we headed to Lush (because we can't go to Watford and not to go to Lush!) and Primark to get Miss E some sunglasses. I snapped a picture of her in the queue so she could see what they looked like and it's one of my favourite pictures of her ever. She looks so grown up!!!
Then it was to Subways for a sandwich for me, the newsagent for chocolate for both of us, and to the chip shop for Miss E's usual HUGE portion of chips with as much salt and vinegar as she can possibly get onto them. We're all about healthy eating on match days!!
We walked up to the stadium with thousands of others. It was so colourful as everyone was in yellow Watford shirts with no coats. Brilliant!
So 0-0, but a very exciting game. A point should see us safe but a win would have been nice.
Miss E is surprisingly philosophical about it  - at least we didn't lose!
She was less philosophical walking back to the station, whinging about painful feet and being tired. You and me both love!!!
She dozed most of the way home.
Mr K and Miss L picked us up. Operation Tidy Up the Garden starts in earnest tomorrow and they'd had an afternoon making a start. Well Mr K did some strimming, Miss L swung about in a tree and bounced on the trampoline!
