'Wyllie Wall' on the Move

So taken were we with the 'Wyllie Wall' created by P7b at Kilbowie Primary during the school's Art Appreciation week that we requested the entire wall display.

And today the 'Wyllie Wall' moved.

It will be recreated in its new location in the education room which forms part of the exhibition at the Mitchell.

Lots of research. Lots of information. Lots of images. A work of art in itself.

George Wyllie once made a 5m metal bird, the Berlin Burd and placed it beside the Berlin Wall (you can see a smaller version of it in one of the photographs). Liz Lochhead later said of it,

'...the bird keeked over
and The Wall keeled over'

P7b's 'Wyllie Wall' is well-crafted and built on firmer foundations and will be on display at the Mitchell until 2nd February.
