Golden goose eggs

Earlier this week our friend gave us three goose eggs. Today Alex and I made them into a tasty frittata. They were very hard to crack, but I was impressed by the rich golden colour of the enormous yolks, seen here in a standard 2 pint pudding basin. It was the first time any of us had eaten goose eggs, but they were quite delicious, richer in flavour than a hens egg. Hopefully we’ll be given some more one day.
