Life in a Northern Town

By kagsy

The blackbirds from last week are doing well - now onto half hourly feeds, and within a week or so they will be able to be soft released - that means they will be given the choice of whether to stay or go for a couple of days until they head off into the big world on their own. The little ball of fluff you can see in the background is a tiny baby robin, and in the pink nest is a baby jackdaw - see extras. Kathy is confident that it will survive, although it seems impossible from where it is now.

Nearly all the  hedgehogs have been released, just 4 poorly ones left being nursed.  I hope that Thistle has a long and happy life doing hedgehoggy things, and following the Green Cross Code.
