Green

The shady side of the garden has a mostly green/yellow colour scheme, which is at its best in spring when the euphorbia (centre left) is in flower. If more of last year's white and yellow tulips had flowered again this year it would have looked better, but very few have done, so we might have to rethink the bulbs in future. I like the variety of greens, from the pale lime of the philadelphus to the deeper spring green of campanulas and daphne (left background) and the grey-greens of bulb foliage, although as that dies down it doesn't really enhance the view. This should be the first year that the philadelphus flowers fully; after just a few flowers last year it has lots of buds which should be opening later this month I imagine, or perhaps early June.
