Finding a Way Out

Dear Diary,

My scilla are in full bloom in the bed around the old Black Locust tree in the front yard.  They start first on the south side of the bed and slowly work their way around.  These little ones found a way out of the bed through the spaces in the stone.  Nature always finds a way.  We can take a lesson from that.

Emerson and I, thanks to Matt, had a nice cool sleep last night.  What a relief!  Although the temperature wasn't nearly as high as Wednesday the humidity was horrible so the air conditioner was really appreciated.

Matt did a thorough cleanout of the potting shed and we even did a bit more purging in the barn loft so despite the rain that squelched the outside work, it was a productive day.
