The Old Forge (Saturday 5th May 2018)

Unbelievably for a bank holiday weekend the weather has been rather good, and I have spent the afternoon pottering in the garden, finishing off a variety of jobs from the previous morning. Several trees are in blossom and knowing how short lived this can be I have been taking pictures of them. Both my old apple tree and the crab apple that I planted are in bloom, so for blip I have chosen this crab apple tree.

Both Malcolm and Sid were sunbathing in the pond, but tended to dive out of sight when I waved my camera near their faces. I did get a couple of rather poor shots and I've put one in Extras.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Roxy Music - Would You Believe? (recorded 14-29 March 1972)
Roxy Music: Bryan Ferry (vocals, keyboards), Brian Eno (VCS3 synthesizer, tape effects, backing vocals), Andy Mackay (oboe, saxophone, backing vocals), Philip Manzanera (electric guitar), Graham Simpson (bass guitar), Paul Thompson (drums)
I played CD1 of the Roxy Music box set that came on Wednesday this morning. Although of its time it has an anarchy of spirit and energy that remain invigorating today. I had the CD album before in its 1984 edition whereas the version on CD1 is the remaster from 1999. This is not the most recent but is the one preferred by Bryan Ferry. Whereas I knew the album really well, I found this particular track considerably less familiar for some reason, and was pleased to rediscover it.
