Hyacinthoides non-scripta

Bluebell woodlands are one of spring's highlights, that combination of blue under-storey and fresh green leaves - especially beech - is wonderful.

The individual plants are unassuming. And the latin name is just weird. The whole is so much greater than sum of its parts.
