Expedition into the North of Edinburgh. Felix and I took the bikes and cycled to Granton to check out the walled garden which could be visited today. On the way we stopped to have a closer look at the gasometer. It's really impressive structure. I so hope it is getting preserved. Although, given the prevalent attitude I suspect it will quietly rust away. The garden is really impressive, but will require lots of work. I do wish the group of volunteers success in securing a long term future for the garden. It would be a shame if the place was turned into yet more houses. After the garden we went to Canonmills where some of Felix' art work was shown. Really nice to see what he has been up to. Then onwards to the Botanics for a sit down and some flowers in the sunshine.
