Green-winged

Fairly scarce and found on grassland where grazing etc keeps the grass relatively short, this is a green-winged orchid. The Cotswolds being limestone is an ideal habitat for pockets of these orchids which produce no nectar but are pollinated by bees tricked into thinking there is a reward.

Not quite what I was looking for today but in fairness with it being a Bank Holiday any dipper, kingfisher, animal or butterfly worth it's salt stayed at home to avoid the melee!
