Quod oculus meus videt

Bluebells (In IR)

When you've made the effort to get up for sunrise, and it is pretty colourful, it takes a conscious decision to post a black and white image taken later in the day.

I went out later to pick up some last minute provisions for our trip and grabbed the first camera to hand, which happened to be the infrared converted camera.  At this time of year the new foliage really pops, particularly against cloudless blue skies.  It comes as more of a surprise that I didn't post one such image, choosing instead this study of bluebells in the local park.  I just liked the echo of pattern in the out of focus bells behind the main subject.

One other reason for not posting the sunrise is that it bears a lot of similarity with Saturday's image.  I've added it as an extra so you can compare.
