Liberation Day...

73 years today and it's even a Wednesday.
Since the Town Church bells are The Liberation Bells installed for the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation we are ringing twice today. We've just rung for the service so of course we missed all the parade into the church. And we'll ring again this afternoon. This time a longer piece of ringing just for our pleasure, and of course all the people milling around town all day.
I don't fancy the sore head a lot of people around Guernsey will have tomorrow so think I'll stick to my mug of coffee for today and have a glass of wine at the U3As Liberation Lunch tomorrow. Of course the downside is that tomorrow is Ascension Day so more ringing for that in the evening.
