Aida

Besides the usual monumental, stirring and also quiet and elegant music of Verdi, this production of Aida was visually very exciting and memorable with sets from graffiti artist RETNA.    Too late for me to find the link or describe and no photos in the production but the extra is the curtain call so you can see some of the creative “graffiti” ( it originally means “scratched “) lettering that featured in all the sets.  Not Egyptian or Asian or Islamic or ?  But so interesting.  A new artist for me!   Blip of the lobby ( I still miss the former director standing at the top of those stairs) with the stage curtain “letters” ( script) superimposed
Good night all,
