What a View

An interesting time in London today. I had booked two tickets for some films at the Brunel Museum in Rotherhithe in their large theatre, almost underground, in the shaft that would have lead to the tunnel under the river. It was a small but interesting museum and the the short films were amazing. One was about a Norwegian Granny who had been swimming in the sea every day, whatever the weather, since she was a young woman. Another told the story of two young men who stayed north of the Arctic Circle for a year building themselves a shelter and more or less living off the land. The third film was an unsupported crossing in a rowing boat of the Indian ocean by two young men who hadn't ever been to sea before or done any rowing! They made it - just.

Before meeting John, I went to the roof terrace at the top of One New Change for the views. If I leaned as far as I could over the barrier I got this unusual reflection of the Shard; the young lady was posing for her boyfriend.

Great evening in an alternative venue.
