Tea time

A sunny day and an appointment. Heather and Tony have offered to do both our butterfly transects while we are away, so they needed a look at where the sections were at Howe Ridding.
We were horrified as we walked up to the wood to find ourselves in the midst of some horrendous mountain bike race, going along our quiet public footpath through the woods. They seemed to have been given permission by someone, but none of their shouted apologies made up for the fact that our walk was ruined. Not to mention the state of the path.
Fortunately the CWT reserve was not being trashed and as their shouts of glee faded we started to see Orange Tip and Green Hairstreak.
A further four miles around the Hervey reserve, then home to find this delightful tea awaiting us! Katie and Andrew had been busy! Also preparing a superb curry, making it on balance a good day!
