May blossom

The usual Saturday ensued. A little later we walked into town to coffee and shopping. While Susan cleaned in the afternoon I went to the allotment to sow swede, carrots, beetroot and parsnips.

The weather was not cooperative, being dull with spits of rain all day. It started to come down heavily around 5.00pm which pursued me to make a dash for it home on my bike. It then rained steadily for the rest of the evening, helping to refill all the water butts.

The May is in full bloom, the area known as Banky Meadow is covered in May blossom, drifts of white all over. It was this or banks of white cow parsley for today’s blip or it could have been an elephant’s trunk.
