Life's Little Moments

Mother's Day Brunch

It is cold and rainy again today so Madame Bluebird is sitting on her eggs, keeping them warm.  Monsieur, being the good provider and dutiful spouse that he is, prepared a special brunch for Mum - a big tasty moth!  He sat on his perch and sang her a lovely song before flying over and presenting her with her meal, sticking his head into the nest so she could stay safe and dry.  True blue love.

Speaking of Mom's, I spoke to mine this morning, having to settle for a virtual hug until I see her next month.  She and Dad are planning a day of walking in downtown Portland where temps may hit 90 and the sun will be shining.  Then, Dad is going to prepare grilled steaks and potatoes for dinner - sounds better than a moth to me.

Hubs will be going over to get his Mom soon to bring her here for Sunday dinner - lasagna made with zucchini "noodles" today.  And SIL is making angel-food cake with macerated strawberries.

Happy Mom's Day to all the mom's out there.
