Visit to High Park & Cherry Blossoms

I have been trying for 10 years to get to see the blooming cherry blossoms. It happens only once a year and only for 6-10 days. We almost made it 2 yrs ago but the whether was so bad, they never did blossom! It is packed during this event, we spent Saturday afternoon there after dropping our patient off at home. There is a lovely free zoo in High Park too so we spent time enjoying that as well - in particular there is a brand new baby buffalo and 3 reindeer that we were fascinated with. The many cherry trees were a gift to Toronto from Japan years ago (just like Washington DC). We had a wonderful wander down both the iconic Queen Street West and Ronconscville. We found my favorite eatery Ravi Soups and decided to have dinner there, organic veggie wrap - to die for! Home by 9 for a quiet evening and off to bed, it was such a lovely day!
