Västanåfallet

We heard from a friend that this waterfall, Västanåfallet, was looking very spectacular in the ongoing spring thaw, so we decided to make it part of our day's activities.
When we got there we found notices saying we couldn't go along the path to the foot of the falls because there was so much water.
After watching the falls for a while we decided to ignore the notices and took ourselves both to the base of the falls and a little way up, but we were very careful and stayed well away from the water's edge.
In the extra you can see the top two thirds (60 of 90 metres) of the fall. This picture shows a detail, somewhere in that top section.
We were there a long time as all that rushing water, and the continuous roaring, are fascinating!
