Cataract 1

To anyone else who finds themselves needing a cataract operation I can say "Don't worry, it's fine!"  There was a bit of pressure on my eyeball at times, paticularly when he slid the new lens in, and a bit of noise from the ultrasound as he cut out the cataract itself, but I wasn't unduly worried by any of it, even the needle in the eye!!!

I'd thought I'd be ok for climbing in two weeks, but it's four which means I've had to cancel a four-day outing to North Wales... but eyes are more important.  On the plus side I can drive the day after tomorrow and go walking.  Gently.

And now I'm going to lie down :-)
