Beautiful morning walk

A touch of frost first thing but this didn't detract from the lovely blue skies walk we had around the St Ives Estate at 7.15am!

The highlight was the pond where straight away two Coots were seen scurrying away with their mother. Further around the pond were the two juvenile, exiled swans with the father keeping guard, keeping them and a few stray Canada geese at bay.

Serenely escorting her brood the female swan was at the bottom end of the pond with her 8 cygnets.

I stopped to feed them and grab a few snaps. I liked the light on this one of all of them. The close ups of the youngsters were in the shade so I went with the family.
The first time I've seen them through there have been quite a few blips of them already.

Lovely start to the day
