Ogden landscape

A fabulous morning walk around Ogden Water Country Park. Thank you Wilsden Walker for organising and taking us.

This was taken just after 8.00am and the blue skies were amazing, multi streaked with contrails. We heard and saw the cuckoo in one of the hilltop trees and there were a couple of ducks on the wall tomthe right so we wondered if there was a nest.

Last time I did this walk they were working on the wind turbines so they were not in evidence but they have been replaced and as we climbed up from this valley onto the moor they were very much in evidence providing a different landscape against the fab sky.

Returning to the reservoir, where we had parked the water looked beautiful edged with rhododendrons. There were some ducklings too.

A great start to the day.

Been making some food to leave for Grace and John when they return from Scotland with Eda tomorrow night. We'll be out celebrating a friend's birthday all day so won't be watching the wedding or football! I'm sure there will be plenty to see of it all later. Happy Friday everybody and enjoy your weekend.
