Today was the last official day of school for our graduating Seniors.  They are the last class to graduate who were born in C20th, as they reminded us with their clever banner over the entrance to Marble Hall this morning (extra pic).   Entering the building was to walk in to an '80's disco located inside Santa's grotto as last night they had wrapped up the whole space and all its furniture in aluminum foil and wired up a few blue and green lights.  Scallywags!!

Their day unfolded with other events, including a farewell ceremony in front of the whole school,  in the outside seating forum, which after a while became a bit uncomfortable on this hot (29ºC) and sunny day.  I believe water pistols on the plateau may have subsequently cooled people down, but didn't see it as I had to go, with a couple of others, to a government office this afternoon on 'official' business - what a bore.  By the time we got back it was all over.  The first time I haven't seen the always nostalgic film of the graduating class - but fortunately, a colleague sent me a copy that I will watch later hopefully without tearing up.

Good luck to all 193 of these young adults in the adventures that lay ahead. I will miss you.
