Glamburger

Lunch today in the Rustic Stone on George's St/Exchequer St. It was a special deal, which included two main courses, two soft drinks/coffee and three side dishes 'for the table', all for €28, which just had to be jumped at.

We like the Rustic Stone, especially their dishes which involve cooking your own steak on a sizzling-hot stone (hence the name). We opted for something different this time. I had Penne Pesto which my dining companion (as they say in all the best reviews) went for the Glamburger. What you see in the blip is only half of what arrived. Carl was happy. The side dishes were really good too. Naturally, we went for a couple of extra, which brought the bill somewhat higher than the starting price. Worth it, though.

We tried for an outside table somewhere so we could soak up the glorious sunshine but there were none free at The Old Stand or Davy Byrne's or The Duke. Nothing daunted, we sampled each place's wares, all of which meant that it was rather late by the time we headed home after what started out as 'lunch'.
