We had a lovely curry last night at The Aagrah, Tadcaster. A nice end to Mrs madwill's birthday.

Today we went out, leaving 'the nation' glued to the royal wedding on TV. Helmsley was like a ghost town, the cafes and shops were very quiet - no queues at the tills! A quiet coffee and cake and a wander round the town.

We then went to Nunnington Hall to see the British wildlife photography exhibition which was very good. We had lunch/afternoon tea and a walk round the gardens. A beautiful day with the sunshine and pleasantly warm.

Some additional shots - battered butterfly, unfurling fern and an old garden roller.

Main photo taken in Helmsley - I liked the matching colour of the flowers and canopies.
