If you can't beat them...

The eye of the beholder.

Saturday!  Prepping the lodge ready for another set of visitors.  At the end of our work I wandered along to the wheelie bins with some rubbish.  On the way I pass a couple of horses/ponies (I haven't measured them to decide which they are).  One is the mare the other her gelding son.

The blip is the detail of the ,lovely white eye lashes on the grey.  After a period of being very "stand offish" they have decided people might be worth taking notice of and wander across when they see you.

In the evening we had a walk round the estate to watch the bats coming out of two roosts in the roofs of a couple of houses.  Going by the calls coming in on the bat detector they are one of the various varieties of pipistrelle.
