Poppy After Rain

If there's one thing we've had plenty of around here lately, it's RAIN. I do love a gentle spring rain, but even I might have almost had enough. I stopped by the alumni gardens in the afternoon between the rains. There I found lots of allium blooming, and also the start of poppy time. This is a poppy getting ready to open. I loved the way it looked covered in raindrops.
