Golden fields on the A836

Day 5 of our Scottish Road trip along the North coasts, today it was Thurso/Forss to Durness. What an amazing journey this is, the landscape changes in an instant from peat plains to mountains and lakes. We stopped in Bettyhill to go to the museum there to learn more about the Highland Clearances, stopped at the Tongue viewpoint and went a bit further than Durness before turning back to our accommodation for tonight. The weather's been absolutely brilliant too, there were even people in swimming trunks sunbathing at the Durness beach, we don't think that's happening often (see extra).
I think this can also work for the WidWed challenge , it's a view across the fields with hills/mountains in the distance just into North Sutherland on the A836 :-)

Remember that tomorrow is Abstract Thursday, optional theme 'texture' , tag AT152.
