Vulcan

Hometime for us today after our short holiday, and we decided to break the journey back at the Avro Heritage Museum.  After figuring out where it was (top tip - ignore the satnav, yes you do need to drive into that building site!) we had a fun few hours looking around the history of the Avro plane manufacturers.

The icing on the cake was the chance to sit in a real Vulcan cockpit during a talk about the history of the aircraft.  It's hard to believe that it had a crew of five in such a small space.

The blip is the underside of the Vulcan outside the museum.  The extra is the desk at the back of the cockpit.
