Marjorie's ramblings

Oscar did this (he is trying to be very sorry.....

This is lovely Annette, who came yesterday to help me bundle Daisy and Oscar into their baskets to go to the vet. Oscar turned on Annette biting and clawing at her. You see the result on her right hand. Cats have very dirty mouths and humans nearly always have an infection after a cat bite. The bites were deep. Ouch!

Annette had been to see a doctor and started on antibiotics, but was borderline for intravenous treatment. Not good. She can’t work today either.

The cats had been very happy to come home last night and pottered about if a bit nervously. Today, after Annette came, they went to ground. They know her voice and I’m afraid they now associate her with baskets, towels and horrible car journeys.

This afternoon I took Mum to the optician’s for another test to try to sort out her double vision. The optician admitted that hers is the most difficult prescription he has to produce. Fingers crossed this time.

I'm having terrible internet problems since installing the latest Windows 10 updates - just on this computer and not on the iPad. Have tried to upload this blip three times today.

I'm late now, but can say that we saw a wonderful production at the Queens Hall tonight. The play is Mountains: the dreams of Lily Kwok. It's on tour so try to catch it when it comes near you.
