A Tiny Injury

Tiny Tuesday today has the subtheme of 'soft' and it's the focus I've softened for this shot, taken today at Dunster Castle. The ceiling in the dining room dates from the 1680's when you were likely to be hanged in the local square if you were caught hunting the local lord's deer, even if you were a cherub! The arrow he's shot into this poor fellow is about an inch long.

Driving in a holiday week - madness! Honestly, we thought it would be ok, given it's not a Monday or a Friday, but the national and local road networks are massively and constantly overloaded, and by the time we got home we were ready to drop. Those empty and perfectly tarmac'd roads through gorgeous countryside just across the channel seem ever more attractive.
