Little Victories

Life is not so easy at present as Jacinta is still getting over a reaction to anaesthetic from her op and Jamie is also under par.  So it's good to be able to celebrate little successes in the garden.  This corydalis - probably not Corydalis leucanthema as it said on the packet but still an absolute beauty, came from seed I was sent from Gothenburg Botanic Garden.  It's a plant that likes it cool and moist so I've kept it in a large trough with other plants of  a similar persuasion and given them a moisture retentive compost, a shady site and extra watering since our dry soil and climate would otherwise test it.  Very pleased to have got it to flower.  I've two other plants in flower now from the same seed source so it's a triple celebration.

One good way to celebrate is to bake a cake ... and I did!
