Time Travel

Approaching Abergynolwyn, Easter 1961 .... a few weeks before I  was born.

I had a chance encounter on the train this evening with the Talyllyn's first female fireman.  An active volunteer here for a decade from 1957, she was full of interesting stories and in the course of our journey together produced a sheaf of photographs from those early preservation days.  This fireman's eye view just one of many very special memories.   in the course of our journey I also learned that her grandson is a volunteer here now, one of Ruth's contemporaries.  Talyllyn family in evidence again.
