Goldfish

Pinner Fair.

Pinner was originally a hamlet, first recorded in 1231 as Pinnora, although the already archaic -ora (meaning 'hill') suggests its origins lie no later than c.900. ... Pinner has had an annual streetfair held in May since 1336, when it was granted by Royal Charter by Edward III

Forty years since I last attended so it was a trip down memory lane in more ways than one as Mum and I strolled through the stalls this morning.  As colourful as ever and I swear the helter skelter was the same one as last time.  Apologies to the man who makes multiple appearances here, his feet even more than his forehead!

After our outing I headed for Birmingham and Ruth.  We shopped and ate and talked .... nice.  Then it was onwards into Wales with a stop almost on the border to have  a cuppa with 'planty' friends - see extra pic taken by torchlight of their garden orchids.

We always tried to and sometimes did win goldfish at Pinner Fair.
