On the Edge

We haven't had a very good spring.  There have been so many cloudy and rainy days, but at least the garden sure is appreciating it.  I ventured out briefly looking for insects again, and found a few hoverflies.  This one was especially obliging and came to a rest at the top of a leaf, with a clean background. Blip in the bag!

The Stanley Cup finals are tied, 1 game each, which means that there will be at least a game 5.  The only tickets available here in DC for games 3 and 4 (Saturday and Monday) are on the secondary market and they are going for about $900 for a lousy seat. No thanks!  I will watch it on TV this weekend.   We checked flights to Vegas for Game 5 and saw that they were disappearing quickly, so we booked to go out for that game, knowing that our son has a good chance of getting us tickets without any markup.  Our flights can be changed or canceled without penalty, so we locked them in and are hoping for the best. He goes to all the games so he will be coming home for the weekend.  We look forward to some time with him between games.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts for my dragonfly yesterday.  I do love them - they are such interesting subjects.
