Junior!

Today we have been high on the moor above Kilnsey orienteering in very humid conditions, thankfully without any wetness!  It was such a lovely day that folks stayed around in the quarry carpark after their runs and chatted to friends.

After my very slow run over those ankle twisting tussocks I walked back to the finish with my camera to blip runners coming in.  It is a wonderful aspect of our sport that it is great for families.  Our two girls were brought up on string courses from when they could toddle, happily following the long piece of string from child friendly control to child friendly control.  At the other end of the age scale, the classes go up as far as W/M90.

Yesterday my blip was of David racing in to the finish to secure 2nd place, today's blip is of their youngest son enjoying 'dibbing' in the finish control after walking around a junior course with mum and big brother and friends.  Well done A!
