Sunday Lunch, November 4

Mine, that is. I packed hefty ham and cheese sandwiches for Phil and his buddy to eat on the ferry to Orcas Island.

Here's what I enjoyed for lunch:

Pumpkin Harvest Bread (Breadfarm)
Ladysmith cheese (Samish Bay Cheese)
Red and yellow bell pepper slices (Cloud Mountain Farm)
Fresh raw cranberries* from Olympia, Washington
Conference pear slices (Cloud Mountain Farm)
Maple-glazed walnuts (homemade, but the nuts and maple syrup aren't local)

And a nice cup of tea (Irish Breakfast) to follow!

I'm playing catch-up on multiple fronts, including trying to sort out the upstairs guest room, where we're ensconced until all the remodeling projects are done, and move up there the clothes and other things we'll need for the foreseeable future. The closet in that room was already fairly full, so trying to fit more clothes in is proving a challenge!

* Fresh cranberries are very tart -- I love them, but most people prefer them cooked with some sweetener, as in apple and cranberry pie.
