Trunk- or- Treat

Our town did a wonderful thing for the kids today. Due to the hurricane and unsafe roads and homes without power, they decided to hold Halloween this year in the municipal parking lot and have a 'Trunk or Treat'!
Holding a Trunk-or-Treat Halloween is a great way to keep Halloween safe. It's when several families, church groups or in this case the Chamber of Commerce get together and park their cars in the parking lot, open up the trunks of their cars, and kids come around to each car to Trunk-or-Treat instead of going house to house to Trick-or-Treat.
Even though the temperatures were quite cool (45 F) the kids had a blast and they looked so cute in all their costumes. My Blip shows my two grandchildren digging into a basket of goodies. It was great to see everyone having fun and to see all those smiles on the kids faces!
