Candelabra primulas

An increasing variety of colours. Although none of the individual specimens have been particularly impressive this year - I think they probably got a bit dry whilst we were in New Zealand - the variety is great.  And the orange one, in particular, is spreading well.

In extras is a bird seen on the lawn - I think it is a juvenile blackbird, but would be grateful for any corrections.

A friend has just led me to discover that all 144 episodes of modern Dr Who are on iPlayer till December.  I was an avid watcher of the programme in my youth, and watched a few series of the new ones, but fell out of the habit several years ago - I just might have to binge watch!
