The second day of the Wayoutback Goanna Dreaming camping trip was much better than I could have anticipated. The tour leader seemed to have thought through everything on the agenda and we had the best time.
We started with the sunrise at Ulurur, accompanied by many other tourists.

The walk at Kata Tjuta wound it’s way through stunning scenery, and each curve of the track brought another amazing view.

Sleeping in the swag was a learning curve! It was a literally freezing night, so keeping my neck and head warm was important. I didn’t manage too well with my feet! Next time will be better!

Kata Tjuṯa, 'many heads'; also known as the Olgas, is a group of large, domed rock formations, located about 360 km southwest of Alice Springs, in the southern part of the Northern Territory, central Australia. Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock, located 25 km (16 mi) to the east, and Kata Tjuta form the two major landmarks within the Uluru/Kata Tjuta National Park. The park is considered sacred to the Aboriginal people of Australia.
