The Lion’s Head

This morning we climbed up the hill to the Glastonbury Tor. I didn’t count the steps, but there were many. A sense of the climb is shown in the first extra. We went down the town side and visited the Chalice Well.

Like at the Tor, the age and the symbolism were both almost palpable. The shade was welcome, as was the cooling action of the running water.

I chose the Lion’s Head as the main shot for today, as I liked the light on the water as it was falling into the pool. The second extra ran a close second, as i think I managed to convey the peacefulness of the area around the Chalice Well (in the foreground).

We got back to High Street in time to visit the Glastonbury Lake Village museum in the Glastonbury Tribunal, before a belated lunch, and an afternoon rest
