Beating the Retreat

W's last exam this afternoon so I went into London to join her afterwards and celebrate. I'd seen this morning that the 'Beating the Retreat' was on at Horse Guards Parade and as we had never seen it, we decided to get tickets. After a nice meal at Cafe Murano we headed over there and really enjoyed the spectacle. Unfortunately it took a while to get out afterwards so we missed our train home, so we are now sitting in Euston station waiting for the next one at 11.30. Oh well, at least we don't have to get up in the morning!
