Birthday girl!

I've had no time for photographing real flowers today, only my alternative flower, Violet who is celebrating her 4th birthday. We are spending the weekend in Cheddar, staying in  a lodge at the Cheddar Woods Resort, which is where I took my picture of the birthday girl, who managed to stop bouncing on my bed just about long enough for the photo.  As you see, she is dressed as yet another Disney character (Tinkerbell) and the eagle eyed will notice that she has been trying out one of her make up sets.
The drive to Cheddar was long - 5 hours - but well worth it I'm sure as it's such a beautiful part of the country and one which I haven't visited since I was seven
