Another Day another Dahlia

Another busy day.
Mr P and Ruby were up early for him to take her into Leeds to Northern Ballet where she dances ever Saturday from 9.00am until 1.30pm.
They had to leave extra early today as there is a burst water main on our direct road into Leeds which has been causing havoc on the roads for the past two days. We don’t have pick her up as her dad will be back from Newcastle by then and will drive her to Skipton for more dance.
I let the other two have a lay in because they too were dancing from 1.15pm at Skipton.
We had heard last night that it was the carnival parade in the town today and the roads around the dance studio were closed as the procession assembled there.
So after a sort of brunch breakfast we set off early again , knowing there would be more chaos on the roads, this time because of a landslide and road collapse on a major road into Skipton which means all the traffic to and from there has been diverted through Ilkley.
This won’t be fixed easily and will take months to repair.
Every way we go at the moment there is road closure and hold ups!
Anyway we got to Skipton early and parked up near the muster point for the parade.
The girls enjoyed seeing all the floats as we walked the rest of the way to the studio.
After we dropped them off we walked into town and both had a juice instead of the usual coffee.
I chose one with beetroot, strawberries and charcoal in it so l imagine my wee will be pink!
Home now after dropping all their stuff at their home and we came home and flopped.
Thats’s our busy week over for a while...
Except l need to clean the house, wash the bedding, do the ironing and pack as we head off to Wales tomorrow, stopping on the way for Mr P to do a race.
