Lapping it Up

Mr P had an early morning run and l had a lay in, we both have our own priorities:-)
I did some washing and got sidetracked in the garden when l went to hang it out.
We had a late breakfast when he got back then we took Ruby to her associate ballet lesson in Skipton as her mum was working and her dad was collecting Verity from Northern Ballet in Leeds.
We decided at the last moment to go see the triathlon at Roundhay Park in Leeds which is part of a world series. We go every year but thought we wouldn’t make it this time.
We drove over the back way to avoid the road closures and parked up easily.
We watched the elites set up their bikes for the change over and warm up.
Took lots of photographs, especially of the Brownlee brothers who Mr P knows from coaching them a bit when they were teenagers. Little did we know at the time that they would go on to be world and Olympic medal winners in later years but they were always promising runners.
We watched the swim part of the event where the competitors did two laps of the lake.
I was lucky enough to get a good view of them coming out of the water from the first lap before diving in to complete the second.
We then ran to the change over area and saw everyone ride off on their bikes soaking wet.
Then it was a run to our car and drive home to see them complete the running part of the event on TV.
Felt quite exhausted myself, can’t imagine how the triathletes feel :-)

Had intended to put on some extras but l can’t download them even though l still have 48 remaining, anyone else having this problem?

Have managed to put a collage on but it’s still playing up :-(
